Detecting print defaults, fully automatic: That’s how to prevent complaints!

The eltromat inspection module sis for the control of the print image compares the current print with an automatically stored reference image. With just one key press the scan mode is operational. The unique homogeneous backlight strobe provides inspection of transparent materials without false alarms caused by variable shadows and reflections.

Moreover the replay key enables the operator to find out the optimal inspection sensitivity. Print defects that have already been detected can be internally re-inspected with a different sensitivity setting and the accuracy of the new sensitivity setting easily checked. This technological advantage offers the operator security and confidence in the system.

Following errors are visually and acoustically shown in the print image:

• register deviations
• doctor streaks
• missing prints - splashes
• hickies
• toning

Whilst the operator is carrying out other tasks, the detected print defaults are recorded and stored in a protocol. Thus the results of the inspection can be recalled and followed anytime.
